how to spawn near same faction player

My brother and I are new to the game and after playing some solo tutorials we'd like to spawn near each other on the same planet say in Solar system. How do we get the game to spawn us at near locations when we've set us both to be members of the same faction?

1. get your brother to join your faction
   
   
2. have him turn off the survival kit in his respawn pod
   
   
3. make sure your survival kit is set to "share with faction"
   
   
4. have him press BACKSPACE to suicide

He should respawn at your survival kit.

Hi, I will add :

If it's just you and friends :

-> Go disable the auto respawn in the world advanced settings.
= We can't respawn where we want to if auto respawn is ON.

Doing so will enable the respawn screen (back space key) to see all available Survival Kits and Medic Rooms set "Shared with all" or "Shared with Faction" for all players to select from the respawn screen and respawn at where they want to.

The auto respawn option is more for public servers when playing with strangers and no need to use if we play with friends only.

Thank you for the info! We did end up having him land and set the survival kit to share and then when I joined I joined at his location.
