I run SE with a Ryzen 3 3200G and a GTX 1650, you should be fine.

Hi, yes you will be fine with those tho I recommend Intel + GTX, but it's up to you.
(correction done, I meant Intel + GTX) Edited

I can build huge Motherships using this PC :

Motherboard ASUS P7P55 LX
Intel Core i5 cpu 760 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz
RAM 16 Gb
Sys. Win10 Pro 64 bit (updated from Win7 Pro)
Graphics NVIDIA Strix GTX 1050 Ti

Recommended for my PC is Default Medium but I play Default HIgh in Solo with 80 to 120 fps.
(Better default medium when I go MP)

I used to run SE with a phenom II and a GTX 1050 ti. Heck, the game will even run on just an intel N4100 with its integrated graphics... barely. It is also recommended to have 16 gigs of RAM, but I've gotten away with 8 gigs when playing vanilla.

Edit: also, they supposedly fixed the issue with zen2 CPUs. I now use a CPU prior to zen2 (a ryzen 3) and hadn't had any issues with it, even when the game was struggling with zen2 processors, so I cannot fully testify whether or not they completely fixed the issue.

I have a i7 2600, 8 GB of Ram and GTX 1660 and I can play on high settings at around 120 fps
3600 will be moooooore than enough for SE. Been watching the 30 series cards release and its still a great chip to own. Gives almost no bottleneck on a 3070 at 1440p and 4k, like identical frame scores as a 10th gen i9. That chips a little monster thats got a lot of life left in it even for upgrading GPU later on :)

i forget if it's an 880 or 960 GTX but it chugged a little and still ran on my old pc, you're definitely good.

AMD is already 25% of the steam market and that's only going to increase. I will likely be dropping intel soon too. If in a couple years half the people on steam can't play space engineers on their systems that's going to be a serious issue. Intel really is in a bad spot and can only compete to be the budget option until half way through 2021. And then they can only try to compete. We will see if they're successful or not. Hopefully they will be, that price hike for the 5000 series was significant.

As to nvidia, well, jensen is a worthless piece of human garbage. I hope AMD does well in the GPU space but that still has to be proven. They have a way to go there but hey, they did it in the CPU space so there is some hope. I wish we had a third real player in the GPU market.

@odizzido

It's just that I prefer Intel + GTX and like I said = It's up to you.

There was already that time not too long ago when the game didn't like to run on a variety of CPUs, including atleast a good number of zen2 processors.

That's fine, I just want to make sure people know that AMD is objectively better than intel in almost every way, whether or not a dev on the SE team thinks so. Since you come from a position in which people assume you know what you're talking about I just wanted to say something.

why are you so elitist about AMD. If you're ignoring price from the equation, intel processors are actually better than Ryzen, it's just you're paying a bit more for a very minimal increase. you should try to use the term "objectively" more accurately.

EDIT: this is in reference to comparable products. i'm not comparing the I3 to a Ryzen 9, I mean in the same categories. Ryzen does have very high cost pieces but they don't really have comparable intel equivalents

Ive actually seen a lot of talk about this, and AMD scores better in benchmark programs, but intel scores better in performance. Ive seen very few sites that collect this performance data from user builds that show AMD performing better in games on average. As someone who has no brand loyalty I can tell you that I've used and enjoyed both.
