Just go look at the world advanced settings when creating new to see all options.
I will have look next time I go in.
I also thought you'd get a warning message going too far out.
So that's center to edge in about 313 years at 100m/s
Better get moving!
Anyways, the technical limit of the game's total play area is pretty ridiculous. Even with jump drives, it would take ages to get to the edge so there's plenty of space for your builds/ planets.
Note, a jump drive can jump 2,000,000 meters. You'll need 494 to make it to the edge from 0,0,0. This is roughly 15.8 GW of power, or 1020 large reactors and a 6 minute wait to charge them all up. Don't even ask how much uranium it would take to fuel just one trip to the edge. Lmao.
Hopefully, this will help give you some more scale. 100 m/s is the max base travel speed, but even with jump drives it would take a monumental effort to travel that far.
