[Xbox One] Convert to ship not possible. Please help.
Hi everyone. After looking online and seeing how completely lacking the Xbox Space Engineers community is, i thought I would jump straight here and ask my question:

My station is not converting to a ship. Could someone please offer advice.

Here are two other things to help narrow down the options:
1) I am not on a planet. The devs, somehow, made it so that planets are too resource-intensive even with everything set to minimum/off, so planets are essentially dummied out on Xbox.
2) The ship is currently parked next to an asteroid, with the drills lightly touching said asteroid. Aside from the drills, no asteroid material is touching the ship.

I know is seems odd to ask a completely different community, but if anyone could help me, it would be where the game started. Thank you for any/all assistance.

Things that are 'just close' or 'barely touching' can still be considered as embedded in the voxel. The drills *MIGHT* be safe there, but to be sure, just run them for a cycle. Turrets have a LARGE collision box around them, even though they take up a small visible space, which WILL keep that thing locked as a station.
If in doubt, excavate larger around anything that even LOOKS close to touching.

Hi, it is very important to start building ship from a landing gear so the game will set it as a Ship and not a Station cause it can get stuck as a station if not.

If the "Convert to ship" is not available in the grid Terminal =

1 - Set your world on "Creative" mode.
2 - Copy the ship or Blueprint it.
3 - Delete the one stuck as a "Station".
4 - Paste the Blueprint away from the Voxel.
5 - Access its Terminal and the "Convert to ship" will be available.

Important = May not work inside a Safe Zone.

hm, excavating seems like the only option avaliable to me then. Thanks Buzzard. :B1:

Hi

Hi Dan, i'm not sure if you are part of Keen's Xbox team, but could you please optimise the xbox version to run somewhat-decently? I know this request may be slightly insulting and sounds rather whiny and petty, but I can put together a list of issues that could be worked on:

1) "Convert to ship not possible". OK, how? Maybe a line of feedback to say "touching/too close to an asteroid" would be helpful.
2) Weapons. If you select the option "disable weapons" in the menu, they are not disabled in-game. (rifles are disabled, turrets are not)
3) HUD:The HUD Interface is about 10% too big, meaning that I can't see whatever it says below the Backpack/tools section (I'm guessing Mass/volume counters?). A simple option to scale the HUD would be wonderful.
4) New players: The game does a really bad job of explaining anything to the player, unless they play the planet tutorial (see below).

5) (The big one) Planets :cozyspaceengineersa:: Planets simply do not load in survival/creative, even with the world options set to the lowest settings (minimum/off, where applicable). This makes anything with planets (Tutorial Missions, Frostbite DLC, and 6 of the custom game scenarios) unplayable.

Thank you for your time.

I am not a SE Dev but Moderator community helper, game tester and they gave me the [dev] Tag after helping the community and the Devs for years so I can have admin rights to help on the Workshop (Steam Moderator role can't be admin).

And I don't have a Xbox, I have PC only so I am not the best to help with Xbox but I can help with in-game creations.

The Xbox version is not completed and the Devs have asked the community to join the BETA test, also have created a BETA Test channel on Keen Discord where all participant can chat with the programmer by sharing what they have tested.

Oh! and the most important to know if you want to participate in the making =

1 - One idea or bug per "Feedback" or "Bug report" for the vote system to work properly, your report becomes unusable if more than one idea/bug in.

2 - A good title that shows what is in will give you a better visibilty.
