Hinges broken
Help, no matter how i place my hinges they will always go in the opposite direction of one another. Got them working once but then they broke and now they keep doing this. any ideas?

Are you using the mirror option in creative mode? If so, they'll be reflections and most likely work differently.

Hi, not a bug but more a missing hint on the hinge block to help us know its orientation, like degrees on the rotor.

I have added a notice about the symmetry to my monthly report to SE Team because you are not the first asking this month.

I recommend to report directly to the SE Team on the Portal or by Email so I will not be alone reporting.

Like spaceman spiff said mirror mode with place them mirrored not symmetrical.

The little dots on the hinge represent minus which both are facing same way in pic. (note the large hinge only has one dot/tab)

Edit broke link trying to edit pic :(

I just loaded the game to double check/test and the minus sign is "Velocity -".

Large block =

yeah, as said above, when i added the second block it wasnt the same default way up. so when turning it left once it turned to the other side. thanks for the help.

I'm not able to see the LED lights ("dots" mentioned? what dots?) in the model until after placing hinges so I've been testing them after I place them so I know which way is which when they move. Then I set them to 'reverse' from the correct position so if I'm using more than one they both move the same way. Or the opposite way of each other if that's what I want them to do.

Test them before hooking stuff up to them.

Right. They're extremely difficult to see on the small model because they're only lights on the small block. They're a marker on the large model which is easier to see in the ghost image of them before you place them. Hopefully they update at least the small model at some point so it's easier to tell what position they're in.

This is a dot ---> ·
They're not dots.

Not the best description I agree but I didnt call them LEDs and yes I do know what a dot is. So
for the sake of others how would you describe them ? I thought tab was enough to get the idea but i guess not. Also you may want to try a slightly darker colour when placing them it seems to help with being able to see orientation.
