Switching from 1st to 3rd Person View

I'm having a huge trouble going into 3rd person view in a ship. Was the key for it changed or something? It's hard to drive a large ship and not know where everything is.

Test this in open space or if you are planet side, 1 km off the surface. You will be forced into first person if the camera doesn't have enough space to render correctly. For example, if you are inside a tight tunnel that you have just drilled, or inside a hanger that has little space to spare.

Make sure you have plenty of open area around you and hit the "V" key, it you still have an issue than it could be something else.

I always used "v" and now it does not work since the last update.

Then something else is going on, wish I could help more. Following the update, switching views is working fine for me.

Yes I was in a flighter seat. Control stations work fine, but flight seat does not.

Check world settings to make sur 3pp is on

Terrain can block the 3pp cam and force you back into 1pp. for rxample if its a miner in a tight tunnel 3pp isnt always avalible

I'm having issues finding this setting actually. Who do I go to find it?

Save games>click your world>settings on left>advanced settings>checkboxes at the bottom "enable third person view" or something like that :)

The setting is on, but it seems to be more for the character and not ships and such

I figured it out! I had a key that was not bound for some reason. Thanks for the help guys

Whats the button? 1st person doesnt work now...???. latest version 2021??

V and ALT + mouse wheel for zoom! Eneble the option in extended settings
