can jump drives work together when on a connector?

or would I have to make sure all jump drives are connected, perhaps via connecting the two grids together that way both drives can be used?

Jump drives work together, sequentially. The first drive in the grid will use up its charge completely until the destination is reached or it runs out of charge. The second drive in the grid will do the same, until all FULLY charged drives are either drained or the destination reached. It all happens when the Jump command is given, and the confirmation will let you know how many drives will be used and how close you can get to the destination.

Only fully charged drives are able to contribute to any given jump.

EDIT: Misread that. I've jumped multiple grids using drives from different grids. I don't remember ever having to tap other craft for jump capacity, since I tend to over power my designs.

If you have grids connected via a connector, you can jump by dragging each drive to your hot bar.
If however you use merge blocks, they will all work as detailed above.

Alright, thanks for the info, was just curious as I wanted to utilize some key parts of my space base via transfer and so forth; it can be a pain sometimes playing solo to relocate, and I'm still somewhat new with around 200 hours and only getting the game roughly a month ago.

I did try to google, but I didn't find what I was looking for.
