Abandoned stations...

I get stupidly excited when I find stations just sitting there with no one to claim them. I find ships on a regular bases when exploring, but not so much stations. I found this one today:

Looks kind of boring honestly, could definitely use some more decoration and fine-tuning.

Well yes, but that's the point. You find something like this and make it your own. The second image I posted I turned into a mobile refinery/ Shipyard.

I haven't seen any of those. I like the lime green ship, not sure what to make of the second one maybe a repair station?? The red one seems familiar, but not sure, was that an exploration ship that was found?

How cool, to get your creation put in the game for others to find - am babbling but I thinks it's fun. Folks are always looking for stuff to do. Not that finding these is the end all of excitment, but when you're not looking for anything and one pops up on radar - well, it's a nice distraction.

Some of the old stations exceed the current block limit. I'm not real happy with the coders right now. They seem to be taking alot of silly short cuts. There is no reason to have block limits to improve MP performance. There are ways to have great performance with large stations.

These are all exploration finds. They were all found shortly after Exploration was introduced. That Yellow station was unique for its time because it had a rotating solar panel. Most of the Explorer stuff was pretty basic.

so your an explorer finding abandoned stuff.....COOL...............how can i do this what game do i need to be in and dose this require a server and settings for that................

You just need to enable random encounters and you'll find them in space. But they are spread out and hard to see unless you get right up on them.

Found that one myself as well over a year ago, back when I first started my current survival game in the crashed red ship map (before I had to move everything to a fresh map). If memory serves, I scrapped it for parts that ended up being used for my main ship's first refit. The one I found was missing the connectors on the ends of the pistons, though.

Found these as well. The first one was particularly interesting, because I found it crashed on the earth-type planet in my current star system map.

@Baratheon79 I found that one as well. I didn't have a blueprint of it though.

It was really intestering. I studied it for a long time to figure out how to make that stop sign shape.
