Parachute unable to Auto Deploy
Simple Construction:
1 Large Container, 1 Battery (charged) and 1 parachute Hatch (loaded with some canvas).
Parachute set to AutoDeploy (checkbox marked) at 300m.

Now the container drops down, parachute does not open and boom.
I wonder why ?

(Ded.Server, no mods interferring)

I know that i could build it with a timer block to avoid having to use AutoDeploy but that´s not much of a solution here...

Agreeing that parachutes do not work with speed mods.

I've also heard people say "no mods interfering" which is actually "yes, we have mods but we only think they aren't interfering" only to find they are.

@Jel : Use the same construction in one of your own games with no mods loaded and see if it works correctly.

Parachutes work off of sea level height and not ground height if I remember correctly

I did. No mods.
And i tested it above an ice lake which should match your "sea level" :)
No success...

I think 5 canvas are needed for the Parachute to work.

Don't get me wrong but that can't be true :)
Manually opening the chute works fine (1canvas) so...

I just tested it with Keen Discord members and parachute blocks with 5 canvas in were working very well.

My parachute blocks work with only 1 canvas. Parachutes DO work just fine with speed mods as long as you have them open sooner as well. How soon depends on how fast you're going.

Is the parachute turned on?

In creative = just 1 Canva will work but not in survival.

Oh! Seems that it is bugged then!

This test with small block ship = 5 canvas per chutes and it worked auto:

But using only 1 Canva per chute on my large block ship = I had to do it manually :

I will do more testing and report it directly to the Devs if it's a new bug.

More testing needed so test it again and share what you have found and I will add to my report.

Lol. I didn't think about it at the time, but mine was a small grid. That explains the difference.

I'm sorry, my tired brain wasn't thinking about small vs large grid.
