Offset door label

so, is there a way to make it not say 02 electrical access? I'm using it for the bathroom.

Yeah, that number is bugging me as well. I too would like to see it removed.
I don't mind the "Electrical Access" label, as it looks like that's printed on a maintenance panel that you'd remove to get to the gubbins - but the "02" label seems like it's trying to be an ID for the door or room, which is fine as long as you don't have dozens of doors, all with the same number on them.

How about giving doors a small LCD screen in place of the arbitrary number, so we can label them ourselves?

Thank you, I really appreciate this. That just put you guys above about 90% of steam mods. I'm sorry for being aggressive, just tired of this sort of thing happening a lot lately all over steam.

I think there would be 2 ways to fix this. Either:

1. an LCD as part of the doors in question or ;
2. a smaller LCD panel that can be placed next to the door

Unfortunately the smallest LCD stand-alone panel is still huge compared to the size actually required. An LCD panel the same size as the screens on the Small Grid Programmable blocks would be great as you could label any door or other item you wanted.

Honestly I'd settle for just variants

All LCD variants have a PCU value of 50 representing the processor overhead they impose on the game client and/or server. This is not necessary when all that most people would really need on a door is a static image. A better solution would be to have the door skin image or a part of it being changed for one with the required text. This could be implemented either as a mod or within the game.

That's why I would be happy for a handful of variations that just have room names not numbers.

exactly
