Game won't launch after frostbite update
When I try to launch the game from the desktop shortcut there's no sign of it starting except when i try to launch it with admin. Then the only thing that happens is the admin prompt and then nothing. When launching from steam it registers the game as running for around 5 seconds. It doesn't create a log file when launching either way. Things I've tried: Updating Windows and graphics drivers, reinstalling the game (including the AppData folder), VC redist, .NET and DIrectX multiple times and replacing t he VRage.Library.dll and VRage.Platform.Windows.dll (the only effect from that was it performing first-time setup with the admin prompt coming up multiple times).

There's already dozens of threads about this issue with the update and AMD cards... there are some workarounds already posted you might try, good luck, google is your friend.

The great majority mof those workarounds are for games that actually launch and those that aren't, I tried.

Was it running ok for you before the update ? your system seems to be well below the specified hardware minima to run the game.

yes, perfectly fine. Still runs the economy update with no issues.

Hi, try those fixes that helped a lot AMD users so far :

More info :

Some AMD users have more problems since the Frostbite update and the SE AMD Team is still working on finding a solution.

Some had to disable the Grass and/or install a older Graphic Driver to play.

The main AMD report on the Support Portal :

Oh! I just noticed the AMD main report is now Reaction marked as "In Progress"

That means they found a solution and are working on it!
