Cannot add items to second gamepad hotbar?

I'm wracking my brain as to why this isn't working now. I have an xbox controller and the first hotbar works great and I can put options in all four d-pad directions. When I switch to the next hotbar, left stick down + B, I cannot add anything at all. Am I missing something or is this bugged? Only four options on the hotbar wheel is not nearly enough! Thanks.

Hi, I don't have gamepad so I will not be a good help but we now have a Xbox community where all can ask for help and more = on Keen Discord in the Xbox channels and on the forum website.

Thanks Dan2D3D, I'm wondering if it coincides with turning on experimental mode. I'll check the forum you linked.

Experimental mode just adds the world advanced settings for us to set the world to our liking and be able to play with Mods/Scripts.
