is there a way to sort the Inventories alphabetical?

so for example if i build 3 assemblers 5 small cargos and 2 refineries, the sorting order in the Terminal>Inventory list is random no matter how i name the blocks. i want to sort them alphabetical.
anybody know how to solve this?

sadly this dont help with sorting, i know i can hide blocks in inventory screen but thats not what i want. i want for example get all small cargo containers in a row then all big ones then all assemblers then all refineries and so on. but i can rename them as i want it dont change the sorting order in inventory screen, in control pannel this works but i knew that already, i talk about the inventory pannel/screen/tab

I think I'm seeing what SilentStreamz sees. I put down 4 cargo containers called "A" "B" "C" "D". Whichever cargo I'm at is at the top of the list (this is normal), but the others are not alphabetically sorted. The list may be in order_created or closest_via_conveyor or something. I haven't tried to pin it down more, but I think there is a order to it though.

Edit: I looked at this again. First inventory is the one the engineer is at. The rest are shown in the order they were created.

In my experience, when dealing with the inventory screen, whichever item is placed first goes on top. The second item is placed under that, followed by the third, fourth, fifth, etc. I've therefore learned to be very intentional in my station planning, placing cargo containers first (because I prefer them on the top of the list) followed by whatever else I want next on the list.

If in your travels you do find a way to organize the inventory screen after you've placed blocks down, please let us all know.

thats exactly the problem because i play only survival and you cant place the blocks in the order you want from beginning, you need to place them new many times if you want a specific order and you loose always at least 40% (with t2 tools) of your components.

@_Harbinger i am using IIM already, its one of my faforite scripts, and thats one of the reasons i want a alphabetical sorting, bc sometimes i use some assemblers with the manual tag and then i want to sort them out without typing the name in search bar. another thing i want is to sort them by cargo weight for example.
the left and right side using of the inventary is a small workaround but as i say it would make things so much easier with a good sorting system

i hope someone with scripting skills read this and make a script or mod for this :)

I have come across some sort of a unfortunate event where after every tine my I boot up the game every one of my mods are sorted alphabetically and this is only the active ones and I'm not sure why it's happening
