Report a translation problem
Two devices are connected if their access hatches directly connect each other, there's a conveyor pipe running from one access hatch to the other, or the two devices are indirectly connected via 3rd, 4th, etc. devices.
In small grid ship (like the starting drop pod) there's also the distinction between small and large conveyor pipes. Large items (like those interior plates) won't fit through small pipes.
Anything broken in the conveyor network will also block access.
If you're seeing the target inventory to grey out / darken when you try to move items, that means the target inventory is not connected to the source inventory or it's being blocked by some cause.
In the starting drop pod access the Survival Kit directly and you should be able to move items from/to it without problems.
