My engineer is gone!
My character is gone! I only see my tools... and thats it! No engineer!? How can I fix it?

Singleplayer. It just gone! I clicked "character menu" Even female engineer is gone too!

Ok, sorry never had that happen in SP before.
You could try to verify the gamefiles through steam... Might save having to
uninstall and reinstall.

Maybe finding engineer's file to fix it? Delete the file and install? But I need a expert help for that. I dont actually know where's the character files.

This is a known bug, they are currently working on it according to the support portal.

Be sure that you have (at least) min. requirements hardware as it's described in the Steam store and up-to-date operating system (patches/service packs, drivers etc.).

Trust me! My engineer was there! Drivers EVERYTHING was working well! I was playing 60FPS Non-stop. But when I update game to beta with skin(Policeman skin) after that I stopped playing like 1 2 weeks. Sold the policeman. When I get back and downloaded new update... No character. Like... He was gone... I checked female too.. She was gone! None engineers... Like ghost is using tools.

Any ideas?
PC Spec
GTX 460
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.85Ghz
8 GB Ram
SSD.

-GTX 460 is compatible with DirectX11! So I'M sure thats not the PC problem. Might be engineer's file corrupted?

I checked that out. Trying now. I hope it works. But my PC intelegence says might be texture is missing or something... But missing texture mean character turn into Pink and black thing! but no pink thing. Anyway I'm trying now.

I checked the files deleted some of them... Yea Might be frostbite's problem. As the "Max" said :
"This problem appeared, but everyone writes that they have problem from first start with Frostbite. I went in first to SP world and i saw my char, but then, in same session, i went to my friend's world and recognise that i don't see him.

Tryed to reconnect, reboot models by F11 menu, reinstall game, update drivers and the tips I found here, but nothing helps.

Maybe it's iportant detail."

Anyway lets hope devs find this thing and fix it fastest they can. I appeirs most of low pc's.

I changed low quailty to the high. Nop. No engineer. Frostbite might be messed up all low pc's.

Hi, the report is reaction Mark as "In Progress" if you look on the right corner of the report and that means the SE programmer found the problem after a lot helped him by reporting so the fix should be in the next game update.

You may help if you share your game log in the existing report = helps on having the fix faster.

How to share the log :

The game log can be found here:
C:\Users\{YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\SpaceEngineers.log

or simply paste this into your Explorer:
%appdata%\SpaceEngineers

The log file should be from the game session where you've encountered the bug. If you start the game again, the log will be overwritten.
attach the log file to your Support Portal report
OR
Post log file to www.pastebin.com and share the link in your Email


Report directly to the SE programmer so he can chat with you if he need more info :

(create "Bug report" on the Portal)

Email = support@keenswh.com

You DO NOT have the right to force us upgrade our hardware everytime you are making a patch. I upgraded my pc more than 3 times since i bought this game and i upgraded it only for THIS game because i didnt have any problem with other games even with ARK.

You said that you didnt test it for hardware under the system req. So is that fair? You are not care about all players just only for those that have the "money" to have a good machine? Ok... My pc is running the game but not my friend's so i have to play alone.

In this World pandemic crisis, this F@@#$ing staff named "PC" is the only thing that can bring us theoritically together. Take part of this at last and dont make us more problem
