Help with Air Vents
Ok so, I've used air vents before in other smaller ships but I tried to use it in a larger scale one but none of the rooms will pressurize, I do have a hangar with connectors and hangar doors but when they are closed it still will not pressurize. I have my whole ship connected with conveyors, so the air vents are connected to oxygen tanks. Here's a link to the ship in case anyone wanted to fiddle around with it and find something I may have missed;

hehe it's always slopes on my side when I have a leak ;)

No, no slopes was leaking, i think this is only a problem when the sloped edge of the slope block is internal to the ship.

The pressure is only 6-7% so more air vents may also be needed.

EDIT: the pressure is fine now, i had turned some to depressurise
Can you tell me what ones you set to depressurize?

I will go back in again and check but i believe all vents was set properly and as i'm not sending you the ship in a workshop build as an "alteration" you should be fine.

The above screen shots show the precise location of the leaks, 4 thrusters in total attached to small reactors.

It is always the slope blocks the problem on my side so double check those first and replace for cubes to test.

When you mentioned the connectors, are the pipes leading to them enclosed, or is there a conveyor junction behind them? If there's a gap to the outside behind the connectors, then that is your issue. Connectors aren't airtight along the sides.

I rarely miss now but I remember that I was making walls to seperate a room in 4 smaller rooms to find the leaks.

Nightwing got a good point there, maybe share some screenshots so we willl not have to load the save.

That's a decent idea. by subdividing the area, you're able to narrow down your search area.

I'm still taking my first look over the ship and i noticed that in the hydrogen tank room ( under / near the bridge area ) with the small reactors and gyro's you have hydrogen thrusters attached to the reactors on the outside of the ship, is this intended as reactors are not a sealed object and would stop the ship from maintaining pressure.

Don't use the following to try and maintain a seal:
Reactors
Refineries
Oxygen tanks
O2/H2 Generators
Hydrogen tanks
Hydrogen thrusters
Weapons of any kind ( especially modified ones ).
Assembelers
Large Cargo containers

I also noticed some performance issues ( maybe down to the mod ) or the extensive use of conveyor junctions, try and streamline the conveyor system a bit more .

Also i did notice a series of explosions once the ship had been placed into world and some hydrogen thrusters that never appear to ignite ( even in creative ).

If i find an area where i can narrow down a specific leak i will let you know but there maybe leaks all over and incomplete conveyor systems to sort out to.

@Nightwing

Best trick I found to find leaks :caster_wink:

@Smokey

Got the tests done :cozyspaceengineersc:

Yes some blocks are not airtight at all, like Nuc Reactor ports = not good.

Better do your room fully closed with cubes or windows and use the "conveyor junction" to pass through walls.

yeah they are enclosed, the only thing that is on the outside is junctions, and most are covered by thrusters
Smokey Mar 25, 2019 @ 3:30pm
I found the issue ( as i stated above it was the thrusters attached to the small reactors ) i have the ship maintaining 100% pressure and have highlighted the problem area in yellow for you in the attached screen shot.

ah okay, ill look into it as i mustve not realized they were reactors and not junctions, and i read about some other comments, this is my first real big ship and my third build, i wasnt too worried about streamlining everything as i cant design :/
