Gyros bugged
If i don´t give thrust in space and i try to roll with Q,E my ship snaps back into its horizontal position

Do you have a separate reference point you're using, or are you basing your observations on the ship being horizontal in the camera? If it's the second, I feel that I should inform you that the camera stays linked to the ship orientation. If it's the first, and the reference points are staying in the same positions relative to your viewpoint, I'd like to suggest looking at all your gyroscopes in the control panel. Some of them might have overrides active.

I rephrase that.

If i hold down E or Q the ship may start rotating
after i release Eor Q it snaps back to its position it had before it started rolling

If i do the same thing only with a little bit of thrust it works.

I also notice this when i only move my mouse in space that the gyro start to hang and snap back
iam in no gravity field or near an asteroid.
---------
The ship mass is not the problem in this case.
--------
My reference is the planet near me again iam 10km away from the gravity field.
I know how the ship should behave but it just doesn´t do it
and in space the ship should definelty not snap back to its position before i started rolling.
and even if i had no reference point you can easy see the snap back from cockpit as its nearly instant snaping back at some point with more speed the gyros ever could provide at all

I do think that the rotational effect of gyroscopes may be a bit weak but rule #17 of SE is if you dont think you have enough gyroscopes, add 10 more.

The fact that it worked days ago without issues and suddenly behave weird and definetly not normal anymore without any changes tells me its buggy.
But yeah maybe another docking undocking related bug.

Haha. I actually made a small grid miner that has 17 gyros on it. It would've been 18, but one of the spaces was taken by a conveyor pipe... The gyros were on two sides of a 3x3 plate in the body of my ship. It also had an absurd number of thrusters: 9 in every direction except for reversing, which had 4.

Well, grats on trying to show off on someone else's topic, who's trying to get help.

Anyway, back on the subject, which is NOT a lack of gyros, since the ship DOES rotate, but then rotates back into position. Napster (loving the name), do you have any mods installed? Is this happening with other ships as well? Is this only happening with Q&E, or does it also affect when turning with the mouse?

Could be the hotfix broke one of your mods. Test in vanilla to be sure :)

Yes i play with mods (no mods that would alter anything like that or interfeer with physics)
No it worked fine for a very long time and suddenly started happening ( without any changes to the vehicle or server)
Yes it also happens when i move my mouse just not that extreme

can confirm this behavior without mods installed
ship snaps back to position before roation

Game Version 1.189.0

Can also confirm. Glorious idiots messed up the game with the most recent "hotfix"

The bug I get is this but it also happens WITH thrust. No mods for movement are used, and it happens on vanilla as well. It's a gamestopper on a dedicated server. Rebooting is the only way to fix it, and it happens at least once every 30 min to someone.
