If i hold down E or Q the ship may start rotating
after i release Eor Q it snaps back to its position it had before it started rolling
If i do the same thing only with a little bit of thrust it works.
I also notice this when i only move my mouse in space that the gyro start to hang and snap back
iam in no gravity field or near an asteroid.
---------
The ship mass is not the problem in this case.
--------
My reference is the planet near me again iam 10km away from the gravity field.
I know how the ship should behave but it just doesn´t do it
and in space the ship should definelty not snap back to its position before i started rolling.
and even if i had no reference point you can easy see the snap back from cockpit as its nearly instant snaping back at some point with more speed the gyros ever could provide at all
But yeah maybe another docking undocking related bug.
Haha. I actually made a small grid miner that has 17 gyros on it. It would've been 18, but one of the spaces was taken by a conveyor pipe... The gyros were on two sides of a 3x3 plate in the body of my ship. It also had an absurd number of thrusters: 9 in every direction except for reversing, which had 4.

Anyway, back on the subject, which is NOT a lack of gyros, since the ship DOES rotate, but then rotates back into position. Napster (loving the name), do you have any mods installed? Is this happening with other ships as well? Is this only happening with Q&E, or does it also affect when turning with the mouse?
No it worked fine for a very long time and suddenly started happening ( without any changes to the vehicle or server)
Yes it also happens when i move my mouse just not that extreme
ship snaps back to position before roation
Game Version 1.189.0
The bug I get is this but it also happens WITH thrust. No mods for movement are used, and it happens on vanilla as well. It's a gamestopper on a dedicated server. Rebooting is the only way to fix it, and it happens at least once every 30 min to someone.
