How to get small steel tubes from a survival kit ?
When landing on a planet without atmosphere (and therefore no use of the wind turbines), how am i supposed to get power over night ?
solar panels fine, but without batteries they are unfit for production (at least at the very start) and for a h2 engine i need small steel tubes.
Maybe i missed something but - how ?

You cant
you need to make a basic assebler
Yup basic assembler is the very first block to put down i think, well after a little power ofc. You can let the pods survival kit do its thing with stone then move the ingots over ti the basic assembler to make use of its better parts selection :)

The basic assembler always tells me "not enough power" when trying to build the tubes.
Solar panel gives enough juice tho...
Funny thing is it CAN build everything else just fine.

Nevermind, just restarted my server and all works fine.
Seems to be another multiplayer thing.

Yup.
All you need to get started on a compleatly self suficiant space ship capable of taking off and landing on any planets is a survival kit, basic assdembler, basic refinary, hydrogen engin / battery+solar, lots of ice. lots of stone, and a little bit of cobalt. Obvously you can use wind too as long as you keep your base stuck to the planet.
It's actualy rather easy. The hardest part is finding a good sight to set up base where you can get ice and stone easily. Once you track down cobalt the strugle is largely over.
A cool thing for me was that i usually make base wherever i land. Its usually static at fist and i like to kevel terrain a little with hand drill or cut some paths.

Before that was all wasted time and the stone from it just got dumped where it could roll away from my base. Now i feel like im sculpting the ground and getting something usefull for it :)
