Stuck in the tutorial

Long story short, the tutorial tells me to "replenish my oxygen and hydrogen at a survival kit" and I have no idea how to do that. It only highlights a container but I don't see a possibility to recharge.
Edit: After I reloaded the game it showed me a completely different message - this time I should only replenish my oxygen and it did it automatically after getting it from the container - what!?

You'll need to repair the conveyor tube between the O2 gen and the Survival Kit. Then use the Survival Kit as a medbay as normal.

You need to link the oxygen/hydrogen generator with the survival kit--there's a broken tube between them and parts for it in the box. Then simply hold F while looking at the Survival Kit screen.

It sounds like you picked a oxygen tank out of the generator. Oxygen tanks automatically refill your oxygen bar when you are low on it.
