Wind Turbine not working?
Wind Turbines are not working for me. Is a new game required?

Be best if you started. Where are you trying to use them? Also they only work when something is actually using power, they throttle to the max power needed. If none they won’t supply nothing.

I'm glad I read this. My first new game is on the Moon but this is useful info for when I hit a planet...

Plus the "WIND" Turbine needs an Atmosphere for it to function...

My base is on an Earth-like planet. Turbines are not spinning at all. There is a load on the base.

Easier if you just take a pic of base for we can see.

if it was a bug it would happen to literally all users. not saying it not a bug but lets figure out what you are specifically doing different.
-are they completely built? 100%
-did you put something in front of their area of wind?
-is it in a deep valley?

well like others said...picture please

I'm on earth planet built wind turbine 8 blocks high above the ground and i'm getting "wind clearance: none" my self

tryid again 16 blocks high in survival and still broken

I dont think that is broken, there i no wind up that high basically.
to proove it do it in creative, slowing removing each block until it says you do have wind.

that is what I did to figure out the best distance horizotally

oh and I assume you have power and the grid is attached to the same grid the power is on

Put it higher with only one block beneath it. Rest cleared.

Nope, it was the better stone mod.... does not interact well with the new update at all....

I think lots of mods will need updating. I THOUGHT I had the Hydro Engine worked out. Turned off half my mods and suddenly it's fine.

deep ores was my problem

had a similar experiance , had to grind down the wind turbines and rebuild em for it to work

Anything that edits the environment settings will likely remove weather settings from planets. No weather = no wind power.

Also you do not need to lower that turbine. You actually need roughly that high to hit 100% power generation even if you get over 90% generation at 8-12 blocks high. And you need 40 blocks or so high before you lose efficiency.
