do your friends have to have the same mods ?

if i am hosting and i am running some random encounter mods does everyone have to have the same mods or will it work off mine?

mods are decided by the host. Your friends will download mods from you they dont have.

in other words; when they join your world, theyll download the mods set to that world upon joining.
