My ship vanished

So I went to get a loot box and on returning to my station my connected ship just vanished. I checked the entity list but it was completely gone. It was the space ship you spawn in if you pick the space start in the solar system map. Could anyone tell me how and why it vanished and how to stop it happening in future? Could it be because it was my spawn ship and it was removed as trash? Many thanks for any replies!

Sigh - i would love that from time to time - actually someone used search option... But to answer your question directly - most likely the ship was unpowered and thus game considered it as trash and thus it got removed as soon you went out of sight.

So either reload the previous version of the save (if single player). Or never leave your stuff unpowered, or turnoff auto trash removal option. Cheers

I guess we all made that mistake. It's weird that the game deletes what's created by player. I mean, if you create something, it means it's important and should be given like a few hours and a warning before disappearing. I lost some stuff too like that. A battery attached should fix that. Always secure a new grid with power.
