grid control forbidden in cockpit...mothership nailed

Huge mothership on official server days work

I had a flight seat as main, the grid was a station, added cockpit, switched it to main and unselected main from the flight seat, the cockpit was already saying grid control forbidden, but itried switching to ship anways and still forbidden, i removed all controls, cockpit and flight seat, i've tried adding them agin but i just cannot get control of the ship leaving me totally stranded

is there a work around?

You deleted all and still the same!?

mmm maybe delete all, save and reload before adding new seats.

It's an online official server so i waited for a restart, which is like you say a save load point and things came back fine today :-)
So tonight my attack will take place and all your earth are belong to us!

There are still many issues with things being broken until a server is restarted, it would be very helpful if the official servers advertised their routine restart times, just as most well-managed privately run servers have done for years.

I had this and it was fixed by adding a new seat, hopping in that and then back into the old seat.

This never happens to me but YOU have a world with this Bug so share it on the Portal.

I had two seats on a ship in single player hosted game. We had this problem. So, I exited the game and saved. Went back in and this ship was under control again. Hope this helps!
