Sound issue - hearing other players block placement sounds constantly

I am having an unusual issue in Space Engineers. I host a small server on my computer for my friends to play together (not dedicated). The issue I am having is that I can hear the other players block placement sounds whenever they place a block, wherever they are in the world. For example, my friend is on the moon and I am up in space mining an asteroid and I can hear the block placement sounds of my friend building his moon base. I cant hear any other sounds from them (eg. shooting, welding etc.). My friends can't hear each others sounds or mine, but I can hear theirs. I hear it at full volume as if I was placing the block in front of me.

Any help please? My friend is making a pretty large project so hearing the *thunk* *thunk* *thunk* constantly is pretty irritating.

I have noticed it with older mods with the sound bug Like using twin drills then suddenly i hear the drilling sound till reconnect.

Hi Morkeleb, I I have a theory on this. Are you hosting the multiplayer server using the Dedicated Server tool, or loading up a map in game and having your friends join?
