Key Binding Questions.

OK i have tried to find the answers prior to making this post, haven't been able to figure out my issues so I wanted to ask and see if anyone could help me.

First I have posted a screen shot of my mining ship below so you can see what I am trying to do.
I use to play this game some time back so I do have a little experience.

My first question is I am trying to use the thursters to move my ship downwards and can't figure out what key on the keyboard to use. I understand the W and S is forward and backward, A and D pitch left or right and the space bar will move the ship upwards. I tried every key on my keyboard and none of them would move the ship in a downward motion. I also looked in the key bindings setting under option and saw nothing that showed the keyboard bindings for moving the ships up and down.

My other issue is as you can see in the screen shot I am trying to position and connect the mining ship to the large red ship connector so my payload of ore will just transfer to the refinery. I understand how to position it once i figure out what key moves the ship downwards but the lights on the connector are red and from what I remember you have to use a key on the keyboard to turn the connector on so the light turns green and once the two connectors touch they will snap together and items in the mining ship will transfer to the ship. Does anyone remember what key activates and deactivates the connectors? I also could not find these key bindings in the option area.

"C" is the default for moving downward

"P" is the default for locking/unlocking the connector (and landing gear - OOOPS) If it is red, you'll need to go into the control panel and turn it on, or set a hot bar key to do that

Thanks Bro, now i can continue. was just watching more videos on you tube on people doing all of which I had questions on, they all show them doing these things but all fail to explan what keys they used to fly and connect to dock. Appreciate the help thanks again.
