Only Speed and Power modules will work on assemblers.
Yield modules will boost the output on refine rates, but will NOT boost it past 100% returns. (Iron and scrap could easily go past 100% without the cap)
On Uranium (and platinum), you *REALLY* want to be using 4 Yield modules to process the stuff, since the stuff is so rare, and the refine rate is so low.
is uranium really that rare? My first 5 asteroids was only uranium and i wanted to find iron so i was pretty pissed.
For the most part is correct, I like to use them as backup Refinery and Assembler when I am low on power and maybe only have a little bit of power in the Batteries and maybe only a couple of solar panels running. Also useful in a backup base or a temp base or outpost and you don't want to invest that much into power, but is there if something goes wrong
Another thing I sometimes like doing is when I use extreme rules like no use of Reactors, Wind Turbines, and Hydrogen Engines. Using Solar and Batteries alone you may have issues with powering Assemblers and or Refineries so using a power modules can come in real handy.
