i DEFFINATELY dont like this "feature"
Tho the owner can set all blocks to "Nobody" so the second player can reset to "ME" and paint, it only takes 2 seconds to do the player switch.
+
Just set all blocks to "Nobody" to paint together on the same grid.
Tho you can report, go add your vote and comment to the exiting vote Feedback about this on the Portal to help members asking for a new change.
Edit
Moderator lock old dead discussions because it is in the forum rules added to pinned important and usually lock because the OP asked for it. you will know more about what is going on when you post in a dead discussion if you read the pinned about lock.
Griefing? No, that's a valid complaint. But the "fix" they did to prevent it? Duh, of course, it's silly. Or more likely, it's a duct tape patch. Most likely because of budget reasons and it not being on any of the execs' priority lists...
The *actual* fix would have been quite simple, at least in concept and user interface. Can't know about the technical implementation required. Anyway, you should simply have a *separate* access right setting for painting, or maybe more generally separate settings for "modifying" and "using". Then everyone could just simply allow or disallow their faction mates painting or modifying their build while still granting usage access to them. Problem solved and both sides happy.
Meanwhile, if I want to work on our base while my friend is at work, I can't paint it until he gets online and gives me access.
I will surely add this to my monthly report but I need help so I will not be alone reporting.
