4Netplayers Problems to add Mods on a Server
Hi,

does anybody know how I can add Mods on a Server, if I got a Server from 4Netplayers?

Hi, the important to remember when playing with Mods is to test one Mod at a time in a testing Local Solo world to learn all about the Mod you want to use and see if it is bugged.

+ Add a second Mod, load the world to test/learn and see if it is conflicting with the other Mods in.

Add all the Mods to your Fav world when they tested OK.

Tho there are Tutos on the Web you could search and find, I know you must edit 2 important files for renter server.

From Veteran admins community helpers on Keen Discord =

"Settings for servers need to be identical for the main spaceengineers-dedicated.cfg and sandbox_config.sbc in the save folder"


Example :

Must add the Mod ID to the files at the <Mods> section :

<Mods>
<unsignedLong>316190120</unsignedLong>
<unsignedLong>710167265</unsignedLong>
</Mods>

I use the SE Dedic at Home so I don't have much XP with rented servers and I recommend to join the SE community on Keen Discord and

Oh! the easiest way to have the right save files to copy/paste to the rented server =

Use your Local Solo save files, the world where you tested all Mods, and open its save file with Windows NotePad to see/find the Mods ID, tho you could copy/paste the file content to your rented server.

Thank you. I thought something like that. We also edited the two files with the commands, but that caused the server not to start. We tested the mods ourselves, we only decided to move from a local host to a server. We're just having trouble setting up the server

I would go slowly by adding only one Mod for a test, because Steam Mods download is having a hard time when too much Mods in to donwload for the first time.

Add only one for a easy test and add one at a time a bit later.

A lot like to use "Torch" app with Mods (seems to work better with) , made by rexxar and that would be better to ask the Veteran server admins about this cause I never used.

Server does not accept any changes
I have set up a server for SE via 4Netplayer and have also set up the files according to the instructions

spaceengineers-dedicated.cfg and sandbox_config.sbc.

The mods are not loaded, that's one. But no changes to the settings are applied, such as payload, autosave or other settings. What could be the reason for this?

chnetrunner, I merged your 2 discussions to avoid duplicates.

I recommend to go ask the Veteran server admins on Keen Discord if you can't add Mods.
