As for capacity - well yes you will need bigger ships, more storages to be operational, and ofc more refinieries, arcs and possibly assemblers - or just a few with speed mods.
Basisally setting the game for higher multipliers makes it way to easy. The real crunch is when you have set them all to 1 or below.
Make decision making, and efficiency a bit more of a priority.
Now if we could only get a bit more AI challenges, or environmental challenges survival might just be truely that - survival
well the mining must be done via ship or via drone at first - ofc you can mine a bit just to get started but leter mining ships and welders are simply a must.
at the very first you can mine via starter ship but its capacity is very low so you must add some cargo boxes to it asap.
