floating land grid problem
so basically I have built land mobile base but I built it like 5 meters over ground. I can say there is a plenty of blocks. While I removed support (that kept the grid over ground) it just started floating like it was connected to a ground for some reason. Can someone explain this? or just say what should I do while building a DRIVEABLE grid?

while in the cockpit/flight seat, press <K> to get to the menu. Go to the INFO tab, see if you can click the option CONVERT TO SHIP

For large grid, I normally drop a lnding gear on the ground (may take a few tries to get it level) where it autolocks, then start adding a few blocks to give me the height I need and build from there.

For small grid, but a large grid block down, the drop a small grid landing gear on it. Build from there.

When finished, you can delete the unneeded blocks and landing gear

Also - in the world settings "Advanced" tab you'll find a check-box for "Enable unsupported stations".

If the box is checked, grids will not turn "dynamic" (IE free to move) if they're detached from a grid that was connected to a voxel.
Basically this means you can have static grids floating in the air or in space that do not need thrusters to stay in place. Useful if you want to play in a world that has a lot of static structures.

If the box is unchecked, grids *will* turn dynamic, meaning that when you remove the supports from your mobile base, it'll automatically be converted to a ship (as per ^ @WheelChock's post) and will fall to the ground.
This is useful if you're playing on a planet & building vehicles with supports like yours has.
