With economy on NPC stations will spawn for you to discover. You can accept missions or trade at the stations. Can also buy ships and influence your reputation with factions by doing missions or shooting there enemies :)

Those only spawn near or on the moon, right?

They spawn around and on planets and moons as far as I am aware.

If enabled you'll have a datapad in your dropship's cockpit inventory that will give you GPS location of a trade depot.
This depot will sell datapads with other locations.

Hi, you also can become a "Pirate player" with bad reputation (-rep) if you grind cargo ships that are not yours and those Factions will add a "bounty" on you at their contracts so other players may chase you. (that one is more for MP)

I recommend to watch Dev Xocliw video Tutos added in-game F1 to know more about those new blocks recently added to the game.

Oh okay the station shown in my datapad was 70km away, so I autopiloted there to see if it really was on earth and it was.

It's just so much easier to find those stations on the moon that I assumed they only spawned there.

also just realized I could've just teleported to the waypoint lol

hmm actually...

can I teleport to waypoint in spectator mode??

If creative mode tools are on ctrl+space should teleport you to the spectator position (if I didn't missremember the key combo)
Teleporting while in a cockpit or seat will teleport the grid you are in as well.

Spectator mode will NOT get the stations to spawn. A player actually has to get there for the stations to pop in. (they will despawn after everyone leaves)

As for finding other stations, there's 2 really easy ways: Take a hauler contract (and a fast ship, with jumpdrives, if necessary) and the destination will be another station. The other way is looking for those datapads in the market. Each one will have coords to some station, somewhere.

We use the Jump Drive in survival and use the God mod to teleport in survival.

How to "Cheat" using God mode :

1 - Hit Alt+F10 to open the Space Master menu.

2 - Enable creative and close the SM. (hit Esc)

3 - Fly using the Spectator (F8) and go where you want.

4 - Hit Ctrl+Spacebar to teleport your charcter to the Spectator position.

5 - Hit F6 to return in your character.

took a datapad from one of the station and it gave me an station 8000km away
even speeding up in spectator mode was too slow that's why I wanted to teleport to waypoint, but it seems I can only teleport to entities
also I noticed how it only spawns things when the player is nearby when the game froze for a few seconds after pressing ctrl + b while in space
