I forgot the limit; if your creation is less than 25 units (I think) and you go more than a km away, it will despawn.
Now, the numbers might not be correct but the results are.
I think if you build a rotor on your base, remove the head, then add a small one from control pannel you can build your ship off that. It wont despwan because its considered part of your station.
Do you run any speed mods?
These can cause the unknown signals parachutes to fail and could be makig them fall through the planet :)
Its configurable from space master if you want to set your own custom limits or dissable them :)
___
If you play Solo =
I create my world in Offline mode and doing so deleted all the aggressive MP settings like seeing asteroids only when very close and the MP Trash removal settings.
Also important to power all grids to be sure the Trash removal will not delete it tho it never deleted on my side if I am in a Offline created world.
I can set it back to "Friends or Public" after I loaded/saved the first world creation in Offline mode and the Trash removal will be less aggressive to completely nul.
Sorry I don't understand, well not sure on what you mean cause English is not my first language.
Note
I am not a Dev but Moderator community helper, Tester/Player since the beginning and this year they gave me the [dev] Tag so I can be admin of the Workshop to help more.
(Steam Moderator role can't be admin)
It is needed though, every pirate drone you shot at and let some junk fly away would continue to fly at that speed (in space) forever. That means drifting out into space causing new cells to be created and new asteroids etc.
Now imagine 100hrs into your game, thousands of tiny grids are floating around and your running at 2fps wondering why the devs didnt plan for this crap....
Then you remember... they did :D
I am also ment to applaud the devs for their fantastic work in implementing this but not making it clear that I need to be careful not to lose my (unfinished) early game craft when my resources are scarce and I need every single iron piece I can find.
I am ment to accept that this is the way of the space engineers from now. Fantastic game design. Clap. I applaud you loudly for deciding that the early game players should suffer so the late game pirate ships do not need to be cleared. Wow. 5/7 game design. Would post again.
Yeah... pertty much this^^
it's not fun and I can undersatnd cause I report to the SE Team all the most talked during the month every months.
I lost one ship, got very angry and it will never happen again.

Veteran advice for not losing your creations :
Disable the auto-save cause this one made me lose a lot of ships, I deleted the wrong block, all went Clang
Use the "save as" feature, from in-game click the Save as button (in Esc) and change the save name by adding a number at the end of world name. like "My Fav World 1", "My Fav World 2", "My Fav World 3", and so on ...
This way we can load the previous Save if something goes wrong.
+
I Blueprint on every new blocks I add when I am creating so I can load and paste the previous Blueprint back in when something went wrong.
