Mass Block Removal - Creative Mode

Mass block removal - keyboard shortcut: CTRL/Shift.
Anyone know why this was removed? If it has not been removed, there is a problem in the system blocking this. It is not caused by mods, it happens in unmodded worlds as well. Anyone know of a solution? Keen, please fix this.

It wasn't removed. I used it just now. It is available in creative and survival mode with space master enabled. Not available in standard survival mode though.

I have space master enabled. Still unable to mass remove blocks. I hold CTRL and hold the removal key, (right mouse button), and it starts to remove one block at a time really quickly. It does not highlight the blocks I want removed. I want to remove a wall so that I can replace it with different blocks, I should not have to remove each block seperately. Sooooooooo Frustrating.

Hold right click, then control and or shift to get your line/plane if you have building mode set to single block.

That doesn't work either. I press and hold the button, it does the same thing, starts removing one block at a time really quick. If there is a block under the cursor it will remove it.

I should be able to hold CTRL then right click and drag to delete a line, +Shift to delete a plane. I cannot. It is as if the program has deleted, or turned off, the CTRL and Shift keys. I can use them just fine to place blocks but not for removal.

Quick fix for now, esc>options>build mode>plane

I generally build in plane mode all the time as i find its the most diverse. If you do need a single line of blocks, just add a double and delete the extra line after :)
