GPS Waypoint management?

So no maps, and the GPS system is... substandard. Can't even sort by distance. Can't even SEE the distance to a waypoint in the list, have to throw it up on the hud and look at it.

Anyone know of a mod or something that makes the GPS waypoint system usable? Right now I either turn everything on and look around to see the closest, which seriously clutters up my screen, or I turn off "see on hud" and can't find anything.

Or I learn to do 3d triangulation calculations in my head. Which... is why we have computers.

Yeah, saw that one. It's why I asked if there was a mod, since the developers don't seem too (ahem) keen on providing proper in-game management tools for the various bits and pieces.

I use names like "Ore - Fe", and "Ore - Au", plus the GPS Distance helper mod. Using the periotic table names like the in game icons keeps the names short. Then I just browse the info for the closest one and turn it on when I need that resource.

Resurrecting this Thread for 2021.

I can see where this guy is coming from. It would be awesome to have a better filter system in the actual GPS tab in the inventory, rather than needing to look around after setting all of them. It'd also be awesome to have like a 'space mapper' for the holomap that showed the waypoints in the vicinity.

But it'd be awesome to color coordinate and adjust each individual waypoint, as I set many, oh so many, of them in space and planetary.

Mine for instance look like 'SP - Iron 1' 'EA - Iron 2' etc.
