Stuck in spectator after update.

Title says it all. When I first loaded into my single-player game go into a psudo-spectator mode where I can't move or turn. Just staring into the void. If I go into real spectator mode, it behaves like normal.

I can't respawn. "F6" does nothing. I can't interact with anything.

I've read this is what happens when you can't connect to a server, but for what possible reason would anyone design a game where you can't connect to a SINGPLE PLAYER game?

Could it be your med bay is out of power or something so you cant select it to spawn at?

It's a creative mode map. Truth be told, I've never used a med bay.

Try placing one, then save and reload. Maybe itl give you the option to choose a respawn. Im almost 100% sure it made me respawn in my creative game after i converted it to the new format :)

You should be able build in spectator, just not interact with pannels and stuff :)

How? I have no UI. The "G" menu dosen't do anything. I just fly through voxels and grids.

Ahh ok sry, usually spectator has the UI and you said it was functioning normally so i assumed you could still place blocks and stuff. Im not sure whats wrong with that, maybe upload the world so we can check it :)

I'll admit I dont use spectator a lot, but from what I've seen on youtube ship - showcase videos, they go into spectator too, and also can't do anything, but fly around and spectate.

I'm also disconnected from my own body. I have a screenshot in the imgur link at the top.

They have the UI toggled off and use it to shoot vids and stuff. A lot of people prefer to build in spectator mode because you can fly through stuff, no more running in and out of your ship.

On that line of thinking do you maybe have the UI toggled off? Press tab a couple times see if it comes back ;)

Stuck in spectator!

Do this :

1- Alt+F10 and check creative mode to be sure.

2- Select "Entity list".

3- Select "Grids" Or "Character".

4- Click on a grid (if there is) OR click on your Character.

5- Hit Esc to close the Space Master window.

6- You are now free to move using spectator mode also called Free build mode F8.

Oh! Make sure spectator view is enabled in world advanced settings.

Once free to move with spectator = Ctrl+Spacebar to teleport your character to the spectator position + F6 to return in your character.

I got the same problem in one of my old worlds and that is what I did to fix

My player isn't on the list. Or any list.

Im thinking space enginieers isn't letting me connect to my single player game, just spawning me into the map/game/universe as a camera.

ALSO: half of my small grids seem to have been deleted, and as I was flying one at the time( I saved, exited, and S.E. updated), I think *that* may be why things are all fu-cky.
