Changing Pivot Point of large Blueprints to fit on a Projector
Im currently building a space lift builder that builds automaticly a long 5x5 Rail out of Steel and Conveyor blocks. For that, it needs a projection of a already prebuilt Rail that is created in the creative mode.
The problem that Im facing is that the projection point (=pivot point) of the Rail is in the middle of the whole (about 30km long) rail and I cannot shift one end of the rail until to the corner (it is limited at max 50 blocks). This makes the whole thing very inefficent.
Is there a way (preferably without mods) to set the Pivot Point at the corner of my Rail so that the Projector starts at such point? (Maybe while creating the blueprint?)
I tried already many things but I cant find any solution.
I would be very grateful for any helpful answers.

We can setup from the Projector block options :

Another Very important thing to know about Blueprints = The first block added is the one that the Projector block will project first.

So the author must position the first block on the edge = No setup needed this way.
(no need to rotate/REposition)

Try looking at the end of the pole, at the centre block, as you make the bp.

I know copy pasting works like that and the block you look at is the pivot point when pasting it back in.

Maybe its the same for blueprints :)

Whatever block you place your crosshairs on when you take the Blueprint will be the block which the projector uses as the reference. The center of rotation will be determined from this block.

On grids I plan to build using projectors I often place a sacrificial block, typically extending down from the lowest point on the grid and then place my cursor on it when taking the blueprint.

This creates sort of a handle which I can use to rotate the blueprint and a block which can be cut to separate the ship from the projector once built.

@casualsailor

"Whatever block you place your crosshairs on when you take the Blueprint will be the block which the projector uses as the reference"

Oh! that is a thing > I will have to do more testing, looks like it! ;)

Tho the projo used the first block I've added for my ships, like the images you can see in the slide show of my Ragnarok old Bp :

Thank you for your help guys. But none of the solutions you mentioned worked.
First block built is reference point being used for the projector:
I made the whole tube from one end. the projector still uses center point as reference point
Any block you have your crosshair on while creating blueprint will be reference point:
sounds even better but didnt work either, same result as above.

It worked out. it is the first block that is being built. The problem is: you must not combine them with a connection block!! And make them static. Jesus Christ I needed so much time. thank you for the help. Thanks to you I tried all the things again.
