Mining Particles

Is there any way to turn mining particles and effects off? I mean all of the fake rock fragments that appear when you mine using the hand drill. Its super annoying and doesnt help performance. If there's no way can someone make a mod for this? Thanks in advance.

I know that annoys the crap out of me and I totally wish they NEVER wasted the time of putting that garbage in. *breathes* I havent found any setting that disables this

No, I don't think there is a Mod, well you should try the WS search tool to see.

Tho, when using my mining ship = I don't see any drop in FPS or Simspeed and I play on default high graphic preset (nothing modified = default) + 70 FOV.

I even use a ''ejector'' so I have the ''Mining Particles'' + stone getting out from the ejector and it goes very well :

Have you tried the Default preset graphic settings? > Low, medium, high !

May have less perfo issues on medium!?

Maybe you should report this problem tho I would try the default graphic presets first.

The mining particles seem to be broken. They used to be tiny little pebbles, but now they're so large it's difficult to tell which ones are ore chunks you can pick up and which ones are just the effects.

It would be nice if you could disable them (or if there was mod for them) because it can be a real pain when trying to build in voxel. Takes about 10-15 seconds for the pebbles to dissapear from hand drills. TBH, a version for the hand drill alone would be nice.

I can really relate to all of you. As to Dan2D3D, I mean using a hand drill. It doesnt make my fps plummet, but im sure all of these particles certainly dont make it go up. In addition the black dust makes it really tough to see while drilling, and the fake stone/ore particles are just pointless and really annoying. Whelp, all I can do is hope some script-ninja can help us. Thanks guys.

These mods will be the closest thing you will find for the lag solution you want. I dunno if they still work 100% of the time, but you have something to search for now. They reduce lag by reducing the amount of 3d objects created in the world from dumping stone rocks. It has nothing to do with the particles sadly and I have found nothing related in mods to particles.
