FTP Server Setup Problem

Hey there.

To test out stuff wich was discussed in a other Post some days ago i set up a new rented server.

Well the problem is: It actually isnt starting.

My guess is: it has something to do with the "LastSession.sbl"

Well i copied the map in the Server Save game location... where it is supposed to be. Like the last time.
I also copied all mods wich come with the map into the specific Mod Folder in the Server.

Then i tried to start it and it wont work.

Next i remembered, that the "LastSession.sbl" has to be copied too (its my first time messing around with servers ... -_-) but now im not shure anymore where to copy the File.

I tried the SaveGame Folder itself (cause on my pc its located there) didnt work.
I tried the Folder wich comes before the SaveGame Folder wich also is called "save" .. didnt work. (wich i was shure it was where i saved the file the last time into)

Now im a bit sat back... cause i have no idea whats wrong.


File Structure of the Server:

Server Name
- _CommonRedist
- Content
- DedicatedServer64
- saves - Mods (mods saved here and the sanbox.whatever is already configured by the game)
- Saves - SaveGameFolder
- steamapps
- TempContent

Any guesses?
Would be glad for Help if possible.

Hi, I recommend to ask the SE server admins on Keen Discord cause some are using rented server and are helping the community every days over there.

Jion the SE community + go to the "Server-admins" channel to ask for help.

I use at home in my second PC and I never used rented one so I don't have any XP with that but I know that you have to edit 3 files for setting.

+ I create my world LOCAL Solo, when all tested OK = I copy/paste the save files to the Dedic save files.

Well this post i guess is obsolete now cause even when we started a new clean on Server Game the Server cracked ... i guess that provider isnt in any means a good one... sadly.

Well check out some others.

When i get my new Rig ... sometime ill make my old one into a Server for that kind of stuff... till then... well i guess i have to deal with rented servers...

Well what server do you actually have? A FTP Server will not cut it as it has nothing to do with FTP. FTP is just a data storage for website not able to run programme like a dedicated server at all.

What you actually need is a root server or a windows server where you have the right to run .exe programs.
