Second, its a slap fight between YT video creators.
Third, LSG was accused of using workshop creations without giving proper credit to the creators.
Fourth, I think if you search LSG's channel you'll find where he responded to the criticisms.
Fifth, no he cannot "have the video removed" for slander. He can file a lawsuit against the creator and if he is successful the court can order the author to remove the video.
Six, he'd need to talk to a lawyer about that and a good one will charge between $300-$600 per hour to have that conversation and probably a minimum of $5000 to file a case with the courts.
And a link to his response would wrap it up nicely.
*edit: yaa, I can't find that video, I looked at everything marked 2-years ago. Could someone please point me to it?
yea....after this fiasco I never watched any of his things.
I don't have it book marked and am not going to look for it at this late date. I remember watching it at the time and he defended himself by pointing out that in one of the cases where he was accused of not giving credit that he included a link to the workshop item in the description of the video but he never mentioned their name.
People do that all the time. I don't think w4stedspace names every mod they are playing with they simply put links to them in the description.
In another instance someone accused him of copying their "design" and passing it off as his own. In that case he pointed to 3-4 similar designs on the workshop that he had examined before "building his own version."
Like I said, its all a case of "he said" and "he said."
Frankly if you put something on the workshop and someone copies your "design" how much credit are you really due? There's only so many ways to build a guided torpedo or a rover. Once you put something on the workshop it is in the public domain and available for anyone to examine and copy.
It's all just YT creators fighting for clicks. Maybe the complaints are legit and maybe they are not.
Yes it's not cool when we see someone publishing Your creations and saying that he is the author.
Let me share something with all of you :
I publish my stuff on the Workshop because I want all of you to have Fun with it, also all can use/republish and adding the proper credit in the item description is always Very Kind.
If you see your ship on the Workshop published by another player = Start by asking kindly because Kindness is the key and usually when it happens to me and I ask kindly >> the member will add my name in the description or hide his item with a sorry post.
So no need to be rude if you see something similar.
+
When someone republish a Your Workshop item we usually see the word ''(Worshop)'' before the real item name = that means it's already on the WS and may not be his.
____
But please not a new discussion on this again after 2 years, it's Very Old!
edit
sorry for the mistakes = corrections made ^^
