Hangar Doors and Pistons on one button?
Hi all , is there any way to get a hangar door block and a piston to operate together from the same button?

I am trying to create an elevator to the roof of a base, so as the elevator goes up (piston) the roof will retract (hangar door) and then reverse as it comes back down.

TIA. :)

Do you want these actions to happen simultaneously, or one following after the other?

Simultaneously if possible. I thought it would have been as easy as grouping them together , but the Hangar door is Open/Close and the piston works on Reverse

Select the piston and hanger doors from the control panel together. You can hold down the Ctrl key and click on each of them so they are both selected. There's an option to create a group from the two that you can then assign to a single button or hot select item for a cockpit.

I tried this, unless i am missing something.

Selecting the piston by its self to a button panel i use the "Reverse" option which allows it to extend / retract on a single button.

Selecting the hangar door to button panel it uses "Open / Close switch"

Grouping them together only gives the option to Toggle Block On/Off and Show on HUD on/off

You need to have the button activate a timer block, which you can set to do both of those things simultaneously when it's ran.

I'd suggest putting the items on timer blocks, and linking your buttons to that. When grouping items, you only get options that are common between all the blocks in the group. If you put them on a timer, though, you'll be able to fix that issue. I'd suggest setting them up to use two buttons, where one will raise the platform and open the hangar doors, while the other would retract the pistons as it closes the hangar doors.
