A cool way to see at a longer distance but you still need to be in range is by using a Drone or remote Car with ore detector + antenna on it and a Station antenna = you can stay at the station and will see the ores found from the station at the range of its antenna (can't see the ore if outside the large antenna)

Basically, I have to work around until I see some ore letters somewhere in the landscape, correct?
When O plaid the last time, i had a HUD display. Then i closed the game over night and today play again. I recharged my suit energy by sitting on the capsula chair. But when leaving the capsula, no HUD anymore. And "h" doesn't bring it back. I will keep trying. Meanwhile, I also will walk around until I see some ore letters.
Any more advices are, in my beginner phase, absolutely welcome! :-)
Is there a possibility to change the key bindings?
UPDATE: "TAB" (not "h") gives me the HUD. :-)
Key bindings can be changed in settings, as I remember.
And you have to have detector moving so it could reach ore locations.
"h": It switches the signal between
- no names
- switched off
- normal display
- fully visible
1. Which one is for the ore? Sorry to bother with more questions, but over time i will ask less and less.
2. Is there any way to see how many more minutes it will be night/day?
3. Are there possibilities to interact with trees or grass or flowers or bushes, etc.? Not political discussions i have in mind, but harvesting seeds or lumber or fruits or vegetables, to boost my health or create - much later on - a space ark full of plant and animal life that helps me to terraform other planets or asteroids. Everyone knows that close contact to nature inspires more creativity, intelligence and health. ;-)
Default signal (normal) is the one I recommend for you to use. These settings are just in case you have 10+ markers and you want to play without distractions on screen. All of them are for ores.
Night and day time duration is set in game settings, before you enter the game. Day/night lasts 2 hours as I remember. You can place LCD with already-made clock script to see what time it is. Or there is a time command in chat, not sure about it. Press 'Enter' and type in: /help to see available commands.
Current interactions with landscape is that you can cut down trees using saw and you can gather materials by left mouse button holding using a drill and looking at ground, right button holding would just dig without dropping materials.
My last question for this thread is, how to place LCD.
I also will try out the ENTER command and see, how well this feature can answer my questions.
The way assembler works is you put materials in its inventory and you go to assemble tab, I think its called assemble tab.
To place lcd you need to have metal blocks where you could place LCD on and it needs energy source.
Your hand Drill tool got a Ore detector, just select it to have in hand to see the ores on screen but better create a small/large ship or car with a Ore detector block on it, the range is better than the Hand Drill.
Also, add GPS coords when you find Ores so will never lose that position, go to GPS Tab in you inventory to create gps coordinates and you will see it from everywhere in your world.
GPS locations can be added in your Terminal under the GPS tab. The button "create from current location" will make a GPS marker where your character is at.
