Someone please explain cooperative mode
I spent literally hours trying to make this work.

Yesterday i somehow managed to make 2 assemblers work with cooperative mode. Today, loading that save, they dont work anymore and I cant figure out why.

Master assembler has cooperative mode disabled, slave assembler has it enabled. Both have resources in them, both are connected with conveyor tubes to the whole base, both have space for more resources and space for crafted stuff, both are on ...

I just dont know what to do. Halp?!

Make sure Ownership is set for both refineries/assemblers to YOU. Not sure why this would change from one load to another, but I had similar issues once where I could not get cooperative Mode to work, then I notice the Ownership was not set to ME. Hope this helps.

And I wanted to mention that on Lone Survivor "map", all the items placed in the default map are set to ownership NOBODY, so you have to set ownership of these items (or the base) to ME manually. Not sure if this is the case for the other Survival "maps".

Sounds frustrating. Sorry I could not help, I thought after my post, "hmm, what if I'm talking out my arse and changing ownership wasn't 'really' the issue". Now here I am in the FUTURE living my worst fears. :}

No no, i do think ownership is part of why it doesnt work sometimes, ive had issues with this in the past but in this case ownership is set correctly.

This whole cooperative thing is and was bugged since the beginning ...

My guess is the process for loading the save, and initialising the world isn't linking the two assemblers together. Blocks are loaded in the order they were created/placed, so try swapping around which is master, and which is slave, see if it works better.

Not used Assemblers' co-op mode for a long time myself, but I do remember there being a few weird bugs.

Thanks for the reassurance/support. I now find myself once again, "In the Future"... although this time drinking coffee and pondering Purpose vs. Meaning. :|

I'm curious to know how to fix this so I will be tagging along if'n you don't mind (and closet tagging-along if you do.. or psuedo-taggingalonging).

Verify that both are set to Assemble. I usually grab one to disassemble something and forget to change it back. Also make sure that you make the production request on the master. Lastly make sure you can manually move ores from storage to each assembler (that part should not matter if you have enough resources already in the assemblers, but it also doesn't hurt).

I just found out i have been doing this wrong for years, like initial release beta, whatever amount of years. So i had to rebuild far to many sorting systems, etc, recently. Make sure that you havn't left a sorter somewhere thats messing with it. Also it was mentioned that the resources all had to be able to enter and exit the master assembler as its the one distributing the materials. Don't know how true that is, as most of mine are pretty simple arrangements that seem to have that capability just by there shear ignorant design.
