Build menu not working

Recently downloaded onto a new computer and cannot open the build menu in creative, period. The ui opacity isnt an issue, no mods are loaded, and it's a default install.

Hi, first thing to do is to verify the game cache with Steam.

How to Verify integrity of game cache:

- Right click on Space Engineers in your Steam Library.
- Go to properties.
- Go to LOCAL FILES tab.
- Click Verify integrity of game cache
- When done try the game.

still not working, verifited integrity 3 times, mods or no mods, the build menu wont show up. everything else does, i cani nteract with everything but the build menu

Ok, so when you hit the "G" key = the block menu does not show up.

I will have a look at the community Testers reports to see if this bug is reported with solutions in.

I would create a new Empty world for a fast test, to see if it works in the Empty one.

its also the only menu

heres my computer specs (yes i know its far below specs, but it runs pretty smooth with no voxels, and everything stays redship sized):

intel pentium silver N5000 1.10GHz
4.00 GBram

in my case i cant see anything, period, its like im not even pressing the "g" key, ive even tried assigning it to a diffrent key, still doesnt work

Windows 10 needs 2 Gb RAM so only 2 GB available = it may not help

EDIT " minimum => Memory: 8 GB RAM (see Store page)

Open a "Request for help" on the Support Portal, you will be able to chat with a SE programmer.

add the game log file in your report :

3. post log file along with description, it can be found here: C:\Users\{YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\SpaceEngineers.log
or simply paste this into your Explorer:
%appdata%\SpaceEngineers
The log file should be from the game session where you've encountered the bug. If you start the game again, the log will be overwritten.

its universal so far, ive restarted the game and computer, only thing im hesitant to do is re-install, as that would take days to do on my network. will submit log to keen

You may delete the CFG file to reset all SE options and controls to default.

= It fixes a lot of problems doing so.

How to :

Type in your explorer: %appdata%\SpaceEngineers

Go to the SpaceEngineers folder
C: users / your username / appdata / roaming / spaceengineers

>> then delete the ''SpaceEngineers.cfg'' file and try the game.

and don't worry! > cause it will create a new "Default" CFG file on loading the game and a world.

I also just had this problem on 64 GB of RAM, running a 3700X on Linux Proton-GE.
Moving the SpaceEngineers.cfg fixed it. It just appeared in the middle of the session on the server of a friend.
