Small grids have two sizes of conveyor ports/tubes: small and large. Those medium containers are a perfect case for them: they have 2 large at the ends and 2 small at the sides in the middle. These 2 sizes cannot connect directly to each other so you must be careful that all the connection ports are correct connections. Additionally (this is not your issue as ore is allowed through all) small conveyor passages only allow certain objects to pass through (steel plates are forbidden for example).
Test the conveyor paths of both your miner and your rover separately for proper connections and possible damage. Check that each machine can pass through objects from source (ie drill or cargo hold) to connector in the first place. Once you know that the conveyor system of each grid works properly you can check the connectors.
Connector transfer issue possible sources:
- Ownership/sharing must be properly set on both connections/grids
- Power: The conveyor system must have enough power. Because it's a miner landing on a rover your miner's thruster are probably still operating which is a big and unnecessary power drain. Your conveyor tube lights will show yellow if that's the case.
- Connectors not locked: the connectors must show yellow lighting and then locked to green lighting status for transfer to occur. If the lights of the connectors are white they are not connected.
If it's not working = something is wrong on the line so you must revist all blocks on that line to find the problem.
IMPORTANT
To remember when using Sorter blocks =
We must create a IN and OUT to be able to empty the ship from the "OUT" < connector.
That is a IN =

Up there ^ you see IN and OUT is where my chracter is ^

Mining ship = You see Drills to IN > Small Sorter Drain All ores into Large Container + OUT connector on large conveyor.
Share your ship on the Workshop if you can't find the problem, tell me when ready and I will fix it for you
We can't take out from the Sorter side that is set to drain all so why we need to have a OUT = on the other side of the container with no Sorter to be able to take out (empty the ship).
XP gained, you have lvl up
Hehe, there is always a solution so create/test new concepts when it's not working and you will find.
