How many moons does mars really have ???

I'm on mars survival and there should be at least 1 moon which I have found. But I found another body that grows bigger and bigger when flying towards it. Is that a 2nd moon or is it something you never can reach ? So how many moons can be really found when living on mars ? 1 or 2 ?

In the game only you can not fly to the stars, and you can fly to all large objects. Maybe this is another planet?

Maybe ? is it or is it not ? If it is it would be a good surprise to have another planet to land on. The unknown body still doesn't appear as marked on my HUD.

Each planet in vanilla Space Enginers has 1 moon.
Are you sure what you see isn't just a large asteroid?
Maybe if you post an image of what you see, we can tell you more.

Mars does have two moons. One is called Phobos, but I completely forgot the other one.

To me, the image means nothing because you put it in profile of the sun. I was hoping the image would show colors to compare in-game, but can't match anything with just a halo. I'd just use spectator mode and look at it for sure.

The RL Mars does have 2 moons, Demios and Phobos. The in-game Mars, as well as Earth-like and Alien only have 1 moon each.
Additional planets and moons can be added with mods, Creative mode and the 'Space Master' menu.

It looks like you might be looking at the Earthlike planet. I'm pretty sure with the alien planet, you can see its moon from Mars. Whereas Earthlike's moon is on the opposite side. Color'd be the easiest way of identifying the three.

Yes, you can travel to the three planets and their moons.

1.) In reality mars has the moons Phobos and Deimos, but the moons in the game are others
2.) The suspicious body in the screenshot is ABOVE the sun, can't you see it ?
3.) I didn't know if there are all planets in the scenario - that's fine, so let's get some spiders.

We can see that, but we can't exactly say if it is a moon or a planet without seeing at least what colour it has.
We can't because all we see is it's dark side.
