Joining stuck in loading screen after GeForce Experience and Win 10 updates
Just yesterday SE was working fine. But after today's updates as mentioned the game won't let me join any server anymore. I'm stuck in the loading screen, after a moment the game sound can be heard (like "energy critical" lol) but the loading screen does not change into the game graphics. I removed and reinstalled the game, also I killed the ShaderCache2 folder from the AppData directory.

Does anyone have similar problems... or any idea?

Hi, a member was not able to start the game this week and he did all the important thing to do and at the end it was a corrupted NIVIDIA dll file and doing a proper cleanup (fresh installation)
>> uninstall and delete all Graphic Drivers files remaining before reinstalling fixed the problem.

I don't know if you have the same problem but if you did all the important = maybe time to try a fresh installation of the GPU Driver.

I still use the one that came with the DVD on my GTX 1050 Ti = 2017 Driver used and the only problem I have noticed is that I lose the mouse when I use Ansel screenshot editor, the last NVIDIA update fixes this bug.

Share the game crash log with a SE programmer on the Support Portal, he may be able to help you!

How to :

3. post log file along with description, it can be found here: C:\Users\{YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\SpaceEngineers.log
or simply paste this into your Explorer:
%appdata%\SpaceEngineers
The log file should be from the game session where you've encountered the bug. If you start the game again, the log will be overwritten.

I uninstalled the Nvidia software and video drivers, restartet the system and reinstalled GeForce Experience with all drivers - no change.

Game log file looks OK, well it the same as mine = all good in there.

The only difference I see is that all is installed on my C: Drive but it should work no problems when installed on another Hard Drive.

All good on your side so no need to uninstall again, it must be a Server problem, ask the admin for a server restart and he should be able to help.

Have you tried one of the Official Keen servers to see if it was the same over there?

I tried two officials and a third party server... the effect is always the same. And it started with the last Win 10 and/or GeForce update. I don't know what to do -.-

i think i have the same problems
there is a massive memory leak
and all my saves load very slow

Well, it's not looking good!

I am sending e report with crash log to Keen Team atm.

I got a CTD when I clicked on the "Join" button, I will go try again after reporting ... bbl

well since the last update i have not been able to load any server, it now uses all 16gb of ram i have and nothing, stuck on loading screen..... what has happened?!

I was able to join that server in 60 seconds.

Memory used in my game log file = GC Memory: 3,386,996,800 B

I really don't know what could be the problem, maybe a temp internet problem = :riddle:

Maybe you should tell a SE programmer in a "Request for help" or by Email to the Support Portal.

i reinstalled the game and the game still run like ♥♥♥♥
so how long will it take to fix this game?

Hi Dan,

I tried and tried again yesterday and indeed was able to join a Keen sever after a while. But it was unplayable. The HUD did not load correctly, screen elements from the welcome screen didn't disappear. It all felt like runnig the game on a faaaar too old PC.

I checked the Win 10 updates and my guess - although I'm not a developer - is that

July 9, 2019-KB4506991 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903

might have caused those problems.
