Newb Can't build Survival Kit - Please Help

I'm pretty new to Space Engineers... I have a light block down and I'm trying to build a survival kit but every time I try it switches to the basic asssembler...? I definately have the survival kit in my hotbar and I am clicking the cooresponding number but each time I do, the basic assembler is shown instead. Please help a newb ;)

That might happen if you scroll with the mousewheel.
Some blocks have alternate versions to scroll through like the conveyor junction which has all the other conveyor parts in it too.

the middle mouse button (the wheel) change between survival kit/basic assembler/assembler

I saw that about the middle mouse wheel so I stay away from it but the assembler appears even when I just click the cooresponding hotbar number without touching the mouse

ok... what a weird feature of the game, but yes it was the mouse wheel after all. When I click the hotbar number that shows the survival kit, it automatically comes up as assembler but when I roll the mouse it switches to the survival kit and back and forth... so weird. Thanks for the help!

it has the last thing u activated
everything with a + has more than 1 block
like survival kit/basic assembler/assambler

if your last was the basic assembler the new is a basic assembler too
use the mouse wheel to get the survivial kid
