Got a screeny of your setup?
You need the bigger conveyors if you want to move every component.
You can go connector > cargo > conveyor junktion > conveyor corner on both sides of the junktion > welder/grinder.
That is basicaly the most simple setup.
Large connection points only connect to large ports, small ones only to small connections.
Small tubes can't transfer some of the components, large ones can tranfer everything.

Where you using mods before, I know "small ship mega modpack" changes components so that they fit throuh small conveyors.
Other than that I am not aware of any changes to that mechanic since at least 4 years.
You need the large ones like you have at the front going to the welders leading to the connector.
Smalls-
Ammo
Ore
Oxygen
Etc
Large-
Every item can pass
So smalls good for drill ships, but need large for welding ships :)
