Gravity generators don't work on rovers in space?
I'm doing a experiment for a future station where it have roads and freeways for vehicles but it seems the artifical gravity generators only effect player characters only. I was kinda hoping the gravity generator would pull the rover down on the stations ground. Do rovers just not work in space or am I missing something?

Yeah normal blocks only react to planet gravity, you can use a artificial mass or a space ball block to make grids react to artificial gravity

On the station, place your grav gen. On the rover, place an artificial mass or two, somewhere low, and fairly centered to the center-of-mass. The A-mass will require a bit of power, and will shut off without power, leaving your craft to bounce off the ceiling... if you have one.

I tried that and It worked somewhat, I'm guessing Ion thrusters are a must to prevent it from floating away. With the Ion thrusters, It seems I need to constantly push downwards just so it will actually move even with the artifical mass.

Go into the control panel and look up the A.Mass stats. It's not a great amount of mass added, so for some craft, several blocks in key places may be needed. I've seen some small armored vehicles with an A.Mass between each set of wheels. The more A.Mass you add, the more downforce you'll have from a given gravity field.

That certainly improved the stability with placing an A block on each wheel which allows me to drive forward but turning is susicidel lol The six A blocks are now having my mobile space station constantly rotating lol.

Congrats, you've just invented 'Gravity Drive', which has been used to accelerate ships and projectiles without actually using thrusters. Ideally, your station would be locked in place before trying to drive around it.

I def see what you mean although at the moment, I think I lack the skill to construct a ship that uses a gravity drive lol

well technically it's a ship so It can't be locked in place lol If It was a asteroid, this wouldn't be a issue lol

If it's your own solo game, you've got the option to edit world before loading and check 'Unsupported stations', which allows for large-grids to convert to station without building onto a voxel (planet, moon or asteroid)
