Agreed.
It would also restrict custom bases for NPC factions you design on your own server, if you have to pay to have access to ATM functions in the game.
These DLC blocks may be merely streamlined/convenient alternatives. The ATM in particular is going to be almost strictly roleplaying; the space credit item is fairly superfluous.
Good to know. I would however, argue that "convenience" is indeed winning so I have mixed feelings on it not being P2W. I'll look into the Store block. Thanks.
Ya, it seems a bunch of people missed that they have no new functions to them. Then again people where pi ssy when the decorative pack came out.
like the old saying go's " You can please some of the people some of the time, but you cant please all the people all the time"
- Vending Machine - a variation of the Store block supporting new direct UI
- ATM - a variation of Store block supporting only withdraw/deposit of Space Credits
Store block
- AI generated store content for NPC Store block
- Player can buy items, gas or ships from the NPC Store
- Player can sell items
- Support for player created store items
- Cashback feature for withdraw/deposit ingame currency as physical item
Contracts block
- AI generated contracts for NPC Contracts block
- Support for player created contracts
Vending Machine and ATM only support a subset of features from the Store block. The Store and Contract blocks look (visually, not functionally) sort of like modified Programming Blocks.
However the functions of the ATM and Vending machine are contained within the "Store Block". This seems to make the ATM and Vending machine more like different form factors of existing vanilla mechanics.
